- Act as key contact to captive owners, shareholders and members in all aspects of the day-to-day management of the companies;-Carry out various tasks requested by the clients such as budget preparation, feasibility assessment for dividend payments, drafting new agreements, opening new bank and investment accounts etc.- Ensure various client-specific and regulatory deadlines are met;- Prepare monthly and quarterly management accounts and annual financial statements;- Plan, organize and prepare board materials for AGMs and board meetings;- Present management accounts and year-end statutory returns to the Board at BOD meetings and AGMs;- Liaise daily with various stakeholders such as corporate secretaries, auditors, actuaries, brokers and the Bermuda Monetary Authority (BMA) to carry out required functions as an account manager;- Ensure clients maintain compliance with the BMA regulations at all times;- Embrace and facilitate operational changes within Artex and the overall Arthur J. Gallagher group.

- Acted as main contact for the account managers and external client personnel in all areas related to the external audit process;- Planned, scheduled and led key client and team meetings in line with ISA and US GAAS requirements;- Liaised with internal and external support teams such as actuaries, IT and tax specialists to obtain crucial information necessary to complete the audits;- Provided coaching and guidance to junior team members to ensure they were equipped to carry out their tasks;- Reviewed work of junior team members and provided constructive feedback for them in a timely manner;- Gathered, reviewed and documented audit evidence for complex areas such as IBNR, loss reserves, loss experience charges, and investments;- Appropriately escalated material errors and issues to the manager and/or engagement leader, as identified while carrying out audit procedures;- Reviewed and tie-out audited financial statements and provided recommendations to the client for corrections/improvements;- Compiled the final reporting packages and delivered these to the clients on engagement completion.

- Prepared and led audit planning meetings within the team in line with ISA and US GAAS requirements;- Provided guidance to junior team members to ensure they were equipped to carry out their tasks;- Initiated discussions on the impact to clients and designed audit plans to address new accounting standards such as IFRS 9.- Gathered, reviewed and documented audit evidence for higher risk areas such as revenue and intercompany/related party transactions/balances, - Reviewed audited financial statements and ensure all relevant disclosures were included in line with IFRS.- Reported directly to the senior manager and engagement leader/partner.

- Reviewed external financial statements for clients reporting under US GAAP, IFRS and IFRS for SMEs;- Performed on the external audits for clients across multiple sectors such as the hotel industry, gas/oil, non-profit organizations, legal firms, technology, telecommunications and captive insurance;- Ensured clients complied with local Barbados regulations (e.g. FSC, VAT, PAYE) by reviewing the relevant working papers;- Performed audit procedures to test the accuracy, completeness, cut-off, existence and occurrence of various financial statement line items such as cash, intercompany balances, accruals, accounts payable, accounts receivable, revenue, premiums, PPE etc.;- Ensure test and documentation were in line with the Audit Guide;- Assigned task and explained testing concepts to junior staff members and reviewed work completed;- Gave constructive feedback to both junior and senior team members;- Received feedback and implemented changes to drive efficiency and effectiveness in day-to-day tasks;- Gained exposure to a number of IT systems such as Oracle, AccPac, MS Suite etc;- Worked daily with specialized audit software and MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint.- Reported on key audit findings to the managers and partners.
