About Corinne Nicolas, Phd, Pcc
Dreams will come true if you give them intention. When I was growing up, people used to tell me I was a dreamer. Turns out, they were exactly right; I am a dreamer. And over time, I have learned -- sometimes the easy way, sometimes the hard way -- that if you simply give dreams attention, not much happens. But Dreams + Intention = A New Reality. And for me, intention has often come out of articulating my dreams to others -- teachers, coaches, colleagues, people I have come to see as my “dream team." Their insights and support helped me to refine my dreams, to keep focused, and to hold myself accountable. My desire to pass on to others what had been gifted to me, to become the “dream team” for others, is what drove me to coaching. I am an ICF-certified coach with a passion for guiding academics as they define their career paths to create impact in their professional lives. This passion is an outgrowth of a 25-year faculty career in higher education, in both small liberal arts and research university settings, and the many opportunities I was afforded to grow alongside and lead colleagues as they negotiated different stages of their careers. And it is that passion that led to a second act in my career --leaving academia to start my own coaching practice exclusively serving faculty and academic leaders -- and, ultimately to Academic Impressions in 2023. In my role as Academic Impressions' Assistant Director of Coaching, I get to leverage my experience as a former academic and coach to ensure that faculty and academic leaders find the right coach-partners and get the support and results they desire to advance their careers. I also develop coaching programs that provide tailored solutions to the challenges faculty and academic leaders face on their campuses. aka (mispelled) Corrine Nicolas, Corine Nicholas, Corinne Nichols
