As a key member of the Strategic Insights and Planning team I participated in strategy formation and planning processes. I developed, commissioned and delivered a wide range of market insight to support decision making for client food companies, for broader industry understanding and to drive internal decision making.

Roles included responsibility for;- Quick and accurate turnaround of ad-hoc client requests for specific data and accompanying visualisations and explanatory notes. - Championing integration of data visualisation and other data driven elements into news copy.- Statistical analysis of the proprietary database of infrastructure transactions and integrating those statistics with other available from public sources. - Directly responsible for creation and expansion of a database of infrastructure corporates. This database tracks performance metrics alongside asset ownership stakes for infrastructure corporates who hold equity stakes in projects. Notable achievements:- Defining database fields for capturing corporate performance, and development of backend and frontend of the corporates database with external developers. - Writing for clients: produced a quarterly corporate activity summaries informed by transaction database and listed corporates reporting. Blending data sources into a coherent narrative and improving with appropriate visualisations. - Creation and scripting of a series of ‘why-we-do’ and ‘how-to’ videos for new-starters as the group looked to codify training which had been ad hoc and unstructured up to then.- Traveled to Hong Kong office to train Asian staff and improve workflow.

Role: Project management of Aid Information Challenge event including a range of stakeholders and participants to examine the scope for technological solutions that increased aid transparency. Notable Achievements: • Development in collaboration with participants of a vision for a major multidisciplinary event. • Planning and management of logistics and the outcomes of the event. • Establishment of on-going communication channels between attendees and interested parties to facilitate ongoing development of the ideas while also identifying the most promising projects and engaging developers directly.

Role: Working in ProCredit Ghana, to identify, understand and propose solution for a persistent rise in credit defaults.Notable Achievements: • Analysis of the business processes and market context. • Production of a report on a recurrent credit control problem in the Ghanaian operation. Based on business analytics and staff interviews, this included policy recommendations that resulted in a decrease in defaults over a two-month period. • Reporting and responding regularly by phone and also in person to head office in Frankfurt. • Brief secondment to ProCredit Bank Sierra Leone to support the management team in the start-up of a new subsidiary, included conducting interviews and contributing to selection meetings thereafter.

Working as part of the mortgage arrears unit at headquarters. This role involved engaging proactively with customers who were behind on payments, putting in place recovery plans and following those plans to the point the mortgage was in order.
