As a Fulbright grantee, I served as both an English and cultural educator - charged with classroom instruction in conversational English as well as community outreach to strengthen the ties between South Korea and the United States. With respect to the former, I taught at a co-ed middle school with a rotation of prescribed and personally-created curriculum. In addition, I was a returning instructor to a semi-annual English immersion program held by the Fulbright Korea Commission. With respect to the latter, I volunteered with North Korean refugees and led a student team in a diplomacy simulation held at the U.S. Embassy, Seoul.
