User Platform team:- User Platform hosts and manages the whole 5 Billions TikTok user data (average 50M++ total QPS).- Led the Async Task Platform project to enhance the rationality of architecture by phasing out old systems and strengthening the new platform. Reduced total number of services by 8, overall new flow development to 1-2 PD, and saved a lot of resources.- Led the Storage Quota Management project that creates a reusable system for accurately determine the max KPS of each storage, establishing safe operational threshold to ensure the system stability and performance.- Acted as one of the main Oncall team members, which was responsible for a lot of system issues and business consultations.For You Page (FYP) Stability Team:- FYP Stability team responsibles for the overall stability of FYP, which is the most important product in TikTok (average 5M++ total QPS).- Improved the Playtime/U, Finish/Play, & UVV/U from one of the fallback flow of FYP TikTok Lite by ~70%.- Built Common Backup System, which acts as a general backup system that can be easily integrated with most of TikTok core server products, including the service of Profile, PostList, and FavouriteList (average 500k++ total QPS).- Led the Global Traffic Switch Preparation for the whole FYP, which is one of the most important company-wide project.- Led the migration project of the whole FYP pods to IPv6.- Led the team to analyze the alarms from each services, reduce all the noises, and create actionable-only alarms according to the new TikTok Alarm Standards.- Acted as one of the main Oncall team members, which is responsible for a lot of system issues and business consultations.Also, regularly conducted interviews for new members, became a mentor of more than 5 new hires, and led the creation of the new Onboarding Doc for TikTok Server Arch team, which improve the efficiency of the new hire's onboarding process across all TikTok Server Architecture teams
