In this contentious time for cinema, the Balagan film series carves a niche for the offbeat within Boston’s rich cultural scene, for thirteen years running. As an intern with Balagan I have worked with local printmakers to create handmade posters for each screening, created flyers and other forms of publicity, applied for grants, and learned about the film.

I worked as an intern and assisted in designing and organizing the company’s website and brochure, purchased marketing materials for the company (such as coffee mugs, pens, and note pads), and helped with tasks including financial research, mailing, and filing during the summer of 2011 and the winter break of the 2011-2012 school year.

I lived abroad in Madrid, Spain for several months at the beginning of 2011. During this time I worked as an intern for the graphic design department of a publicity firm, where I specialized in selecting images for various projects as well as taking and editing photographs. During the school years from 2006-2009 I was a member of the Teen Council at the CAMH. The Teen Council is a group of high school students who create and publicize museum events in order to encourage greater teen participation in the museum.
