ComForCare is an in-home care giving company that cares for the elderly and disabled patients. While working there, I read charts on the patients, filled out paperwork for the patients, cleaned up around their houses, and assisted with daily activities for disabled patients.

Wilsonville, Oregon

Assist elderly and disabled adults with daily living activities at facility. Duties performed include serving meals, make beds, chart daily activities, and make one and two person transfers. Sometimes advise families, the elderly, and disabled on such things as nutrition and cleanliness.

Working swing shift, I always arrived early and helped out during non-scheduled times when it was busy. Upon arriving, I would begin folding monographs and filling customer's prescriptions. If customers came up, I would assist them with any questions they had and would ring up their purchases. I also typed up prescriptions for waiting customers on occasion. Filing hard copies of prescriptions, cleaning, and ordering the next week's medications and pharmacy supplies were also details of my job.

The three years I worked for the Wilsonville Family Fun Center, I learned many positions around the park. First, I was a golf counter cashier where I rung customers up for attractions and answered their questions about the park. Months later, I learned how to run laser tag and dealt with a lot of conflict resolution in that area of the park. Finally I was trained in the restaurant where I served customers and even got to be a part of a few birthday parties.
