Licensed Professional Counselor who graduated with my Masters in Mental Health Counseling from Capella University in December 2020, where I have learned psychotherapeutic theories and techniques, client empathy, legal and ethical issues, medical record documentation, use of assessments, multicultural counseling, research methods and diagnosing with the DSM - 5. As part of degree program I have also had two residencies, a practicum, and an internship. I graduated from Antioch University in September 2023 with a certificate in sex therapy. During the program I learned valuable information to help treat sexual dysfunctions, provide gender affirmative care, and enhanced psychotherapeutic techniques to provide therapeutic care through a sex positive lens for individuals and couples. Prior to obtaining my Masters, I had worked in the veterinary field for over 10 years and had learned several skills such as assisting in surgery, wound management, running lab work, prescription management, administration of prescription drugs, catheter placement, blood drawing, fluid administration, client education, client record management, HIPPA laws and regulations, empathy and zoonotic disease control.
