Working on contract at Seven Generations Energy has been successful with Esby Consulting, my sole proprietorship geophysical contract company. I have been fortunate enough to work with an incredible team who have challenged me beyond seismic interpretation. The vast 3D dataset at has provided me with rigorous interpretation experience of the Cardium, through 10 more key horizons to the Leduc. I have interpreted hundreds of deep faults through these key horizons to mitigate risk and predict potential induced seismicity. New experiences provided to me at Seven Generations include data management and geophysical technician duties. A project I really enjoyed was designing, sourcing and developing a centralized seismic database amalgamating all of Seven Generations seismic and inventorying it. Tracking down the data, invoices, agreements, understanding the ownership, how 7G acquired it and where it came from and mapping where it was a puzzle filled with an incredible amount of information.

Canadian Natural Resources Ltd. provided me with incredible exploration experience giving me confidence in generating and communicating exploration prospects to co-workers and management with detail oriented seismic interpretation, millions of dollars spent in seismic acquisition, and drilling operations experience having drilled an average of 60 wells per year. Risk management and AER compliance have been drivers in streamlining locations, saving capital, and producing maximum results.

My responsibilities include advanced interpretation of 2D & 3D seismic & microseismic, integrating interpretation with geologists and engineers, presenting findings and drilling locations to co-workers, managers and executives, drilling operations and real-time horizontal trajectory mapping, optimizing reservoir exposure and production, and exploring to find the next multi-well program.Areas of expertise include Peace River Arch, Pouce Coupe Montney and Halfway, Hoosier and Coleville Bakken and Viking, with exposure to Swan Hills Slave Point, Hoosier heavy oil in Druid, and Pembina Cardium.

My responsibilities included completing interpretation of 2D & 3D seismic data on the Gething formation in the Edson area of Alberta. Presented 3 vertical drilling locations.

Working as a part time Geophysical Technologist while going to university, I supported 3 geophysicists by loading 2D & 3D seismic into SeisX, Winpics, Seisware, converted SeisX and Winpics projects into Seisware, and created synthetics and models.
