Application built to administer digital signage players deployed in the field. Site allowed users to upload new digital signage content, such as videos, images, tickers, and text boards to a CDN for players to download.• Developer on digital signage player for the same client. Player was written in .NET 4.0 WPF. Improved system by adding content scheduling, reducing memory and network usage, and eliminating memory leaks. Responsibilities included communicating with clients, development of applications from design to implementation, and onsite technical support for both hardware and software issues.• Main project consisted of creation of an enterprise system for a client from the ground up written in PowerBuilder 7.0 with a MS SQL Server 2000 database backend. Developed base classes using the PFCs (PowerBuilder Foundation Classes), application framework, application windows and reports. Also developed triggers, stored procedures, and the conversion routine from OpenInsight to MS SQL Server 2000. Other client projects included creation of an inventory tracking system, database migration from MS SQL Server 6.5 to MS SQL Server 2000 for clients, code migration from PowerBuilder 5.0 to 6.5 and again to 7.0, and several subsystems and reports in support of the client business.• Constructed the IT infrastructure for VSI. Built the servers from off the shelf parts and created the internal network using Windows NT 4.0. Acted as network administrator and PC support for the entire company.
