Supports planning engineers in the development of conceptual designs, estimates, and final plans of service by provided engineering guidance on the application and O&M of high voltage circuit breakers. Develops equipment application policy, replacement guidelines and testing protocols. Involved in contract evaluation, failure investigations, performance requirements, research and development, and all other issues related to high voltage circuit breakers. Involved in developing new procedures, equipment alerts/notices, and other standards and guides for system wide implementation. Ensures that appropriate technical input is applied to the development and implementation of technical policy, procedures, and program level guides. Provides technical review of plans, specification and designs for circuit breaker additions and replacements.
