I will provide technical direction, leadership, management and administrative oversight of 2 - 800 net Megawatt Coal-fired Supercritical Steam Turbine Generating units for all assigned operations personnel to include, but not be limited to scheduling, training, motivation and coaching. I will be responsible for ensuring all plant operational production requests are met in a safe and efficient manner, while also ensuring all environmental compliance standards are adhered to. I will be generating and reviewing SOP’s to make sure they are up to date. I am ERT/ First Responder certified and will be assuming Incident Commander roles as needed.

Develop a comprehensive knowledge of unit controls, systems, SOP's, NERC, FERC, and EPA regulations. Team building by directing crew as necessary to facilitate operations. Generating maintenance service request through Maximo as required. Participate in real-time and simulated unit start-ups / shutdowns and casualty conditions. Participate in on-going training as needed for growth in company and position. Communicate with MISO Energy as needed for grid stability.

Started with Prairie State during the construction phase of two (2)- 800 net Megawatt Coal-fired Steam Turbine Generating units. Focused on the Air Quality Control Units during the Start-up, Commissioning, and Comercialization phases. Gained a working knowledge of Dry Electrostatic Precipitators, Wet Electrostatic Precipitators, Wet Flue Gas Scrubber, Ball Mills, Vacuum Filter Presses, and Flyash Transport systems. Boiler operations include working knowledge of Coal Burners, Steam Turbines, Feedwater Heaters, Main Feed Pumps / Booster Pumps, Condensers, Water Polishing systems, Babcock & Wilcox Pulverizers, Submerged Flight Conveyors, and ancillary equipment associated with power generation. Also current with LOTO, Confined Space, SOP, PPE compliance, NERC and EPA guidelines.

Worked in a nuclear facility for the production of Uranium Hexafluoride. Specific unit operations for the treatment of waste water, waste alkali, and waste acid to be released back to the environment. Gathered samples of stored liqours for processing. Operated an Eimco filter. General troubleshooting of process. Adhered to SOP's, HS&E, NRC, and EPA guidelines. Worked directly with Potassium Hydroxide, Potassium Fluoride, Calcium Fluoride, and aqueous Hydrofluoric Acid

Worked on chemical coating production line through all aspects of operation in a Union environment. Participated in start up and shut down of several different product lines. Monitored operation process through a PLC system adhering to Six Sigma guidelines and performed chemical analysis hourly. Made adjustments to process and performed minor maintenance to keep line operating efficiently. Adhered to EPA regulations, quality standards, ISO 9001, 14001, QS 9000, VDA 6.1, TS 16949, OSHA, safety guidelines, and quality specifications
