As a well-versed Lead Unix/Linux engineer, I devote a large portion of my time researching and developing new technologies that are cutting edge and cost effective. I also keep a close relationship with our developers, so I can provide platforms to support next generation applications. In addition too, I support our production revenue generating systems and share domain knowledge with less experienced engineers.

As a lead engineer, my areas of expertise include Unix/Linux operating systems, infrastructure, and platform automation. I am part of a team made up of experts in the areas of software, database, infrastructure, application deployment, and platform development. I collaborate with architects of the business and data center to research, develop and implement new platform technologies.

I am a senior engineer at Thomson Reuters in platform design focusing on UNIX/Linux. My team is responsible for reviewing, designing, documenting, and evaluating, all UNIX/Linux infrastructure that goes into the data center. We work with the customer, customer architechs, and project managers to create supportable solutions. We also work with vendors to bring in new products for evaluation. I have 8 years of large enterprise experience working with Linux (SuSE / Red hat), UNIX (Solaris Sparc/x86, AIX pSieries), Scripting (Bash, Python), Automation (provisioning/support).
