I’m [in] it to make a difference, and I aspire to inspire others to do the same. I believe in people and feel there is room for us all to thrive.I’m a trusted senior social impact and workforce development professional with a knack for creating clarity and getting things done. As a servant leader, I seek to build communities of change where people come together to challenge the status quo. Currently, I lead LinkedIn’s Military and Veteran Programs. Originally from Portland, Oregon, I joined the Air Force to start a life of service and my journey of self-actualization. My first assignment was as a broadcast journalist at Kunsan Air Base, South Korea. Over six years, I completed various missions within the broadcast career field, including earthquake relief during Operation Unified Response in Haiti, tsunami relief during Operation Tomodachi in Japan, and a Special Operations deployment in Afghanistan. As a serial failure and imposter syndrome survivor, I hone resiliency through life-long learning, seeking feedback, and ongoing introspection. I constantly pursue opportunities to evolve my thinking and actions to be the best human I can be. My ultimate goal is to work myself out of a job by eroding the barriers to equitable career opportunities for underrepresented communities, military veterans, and their families.I now live in Lake Oswego, Oregon, with my partner, Melissa, and two stubborn Bulldogs, Mumford and Midas. To get FREE LinkedIn Premium and LinkedIn Learning for a year, and other FREE LinkedIn resources, go to linkedin.com/military and download our Veteran Resources Flyer: https://lnkd.in/eEAwF32**Disclaimer: I receive many messages.
