CurrentProcess survey, remote sensing data (LiDAR & Multispectral imagery) using: OpenCities Map PowerView and TerraSolid (TerraScan, TerraModeler, TerraPhoto, TerraMatch), ArcMap/ArcPro/QGIS, proprietary softwareLiDAR processing:Calibrate raw laser scan, incorporate sensor, Applanix IMU+GPS INS data, clean noise, develop ground points, adjust tie lines, drop/lift data height based on ellipsoidal controlAnalyze data: point density, normal vector, holes, gaps, distortion, oblique distortion, photo footprint accuracy, principal axial offsets, tie line fluctuationCorrect data outliers, random/low points, sensor systematic errorsDevelop scripts, macros to automate and batch process LiDAR data, supervise classification using characteristics such as return intensity, dimension of object, position (elevation, relative distance from objects), correct axial and deltaZ offsetsClip out high level data, deliver best quality low level dataClassify objects, natural features (water, geomorphic/geological feature, terrain), vegetation, produce DSM/DTMImage interpretation, photogrammetry production: Compile imagery, produce image list for editsGeometric calibration with tie points, GCPsDetermine image location, positioning, orientation accuracy, on data output (world files, footprints)Balance colours, create mosaic, edit seams on multispectral imageryRectify rasters (ECWs, JPEGs, TIFFs, etc) with correct GSD, Datum, Projection, units (meters, intl and US survey feet)Define, (re)project data to PCS (UTM, State Plane) with GIS softwareConduct internal QA/QC checks, identify data conflicts and errors, address QA flags, ensure correct projectionPrioritize, manage projects, update due dates on project management software, team whiteboardUpdate training, QA, and other internal documents, develop training videos for processing procedures and best management practicesLight IT task: assemble desktops, install & test software, connect network drives, license management
