I am the Dual Credit/Concurrent Course Professor of Music at Kansas City Community College. Teaching a Music Appreciation course in the U.S.D. 500 high schools, my students gain a familiarity with classical music, while building technical writing and critical thinking skills. My students leave this class able to describe music and place it in the historical context from which it originated.
