About Cory Vogt, Mba

I have spent eight years in the mortgage and financial industry. I have acquired expertise in every area of the mortgage process from the origination and sales of mortgage to the final servicing of loans. In my current position at Waterstone Mortgage Corporation I developed a new Quality Control Department. We have started a new Pre-Close QC Department, and improved our Post-Close QC department. I have developed a new reporting system that gives feedback to the department managers and assists in improving our lending quality. I have had the opportunity to manage in retail banking and I developed management experience in mortgage operations. My previous position at Associated Bank, I have used my knowledge of the mortgage industry to teach our staff the intricacies mortgage lending. The staff developed an understanding of why we need to acquire appropriate documentation to complete loans, and we have used this knowledge to increase our loan volume and cut the time it takes to get a loan closed. At Consumer Loan Services, I started four mortgage operations departments to accompany the increase in production. I hired, trained and developed the staff that is running these departments. I developed compliance initiatives with the law changes for mortgage compliance. I have been sent to the correspondents of Marine Credit Union and Consumer Loan Services to help with any problems they were having. I had to develop an expertise in all aspects of the mortgage process to be entrusted with these tasks. I am currently enrolled at Viterbo University in La Crosse, WI and I will graduate in the spring of 2014 with a Master of Business Administration. I am currently working on my thesis on the mortgage financial crisis, and have been researching how the financial industry could avoid this stress in the future.
