As a Program Manager I worked directly with founders as they begin their journey into entrepreneurship. Through FI’s shared equity pool model the entire community is motivated to help new founders be successful. Assisted in research on a paper identifying potential knock-down treatments of meningitic diseases. Upregulation of the mfsd2 protein in a cell is associated with said cell's ability to cross the Blood Brain Barrier. The purpose of the study was reduce the spread of infection by limiting the expression of the mfsd2 protein though drug therapies.Main roles included animal experimentation, protein purification, and spectroscopy.
