About Stephane Cottin

Since 2019, I have been leading the documentation and instructional support service, which provides legal research, analysis, and training to the Council members and staff, as well as to the public and the media. With more than 25 years of experience in legal information management, I have developed expertise in XML, electoral law, comparative law, and professional training and teaching. I have also been involved in several projects to improve the information systems and the records management of the French central administration, as well as to represent France in various international organizations and twinnings. I am passionate about enhancing the public service of dissemination of the French law on the internet, and I have published several articles and books on this topic. I am also the recipient of multiple honors, such as the Knight of the French National Order of distinguished merit and the Plume d'or 2015 for a prospective or innovative legal article.
