Here I have completed all the necessary coursework and defended my preliminary Oral Exam to be granted a M.S. in Chemical Biology. I am now a PhD candidate in my 3rd year of work.

I worked in the laboratory of Dr. Matthew Redinbo. Here I used various techniques to express, purify, and characterize key protein targets in developing drugs. I aimed to elucidate a detailed structure/function analysis as well as inhibitory studies for collaborative drug development.

Worked full-time in biochemistry research lab for 10 weeks. Used circular dichroism to elucidate binding interactions between potential small molecule inhibitor candidates and c-Myc oncoprotein. Found that 3 of the 6 inhibitor candidates bound to the oncoprotein. Presented research findings for faculty and graduate students at Georgetown.
