In this role - I have responsibility for the WorkspaceONE UEM platform, as well as all of the Desktop platforms that are supported by it; Windows, MacOS, Linux, etc. I have management responsibility for multiple teams in my organization, representing each of the desktop platforms, as well as multiple teams that look after the core UEM platform, infrastructure, and APIs that make up the whole of our solution. This role is about balancing customer, Engineering, and market demands to build a best in breed product that is has made it to the top of the Forrester, Gartner, and IDC Analyst assessments. This product area is one of the fastest growing areas within VMware, and, with Remote & Hybrid work - it has been one of the most sought after technology areas by customers.

In this role - I worked with our top 20 customers on adopting our UEM product. This entailed a significant amount of time to be spent with customers, product, services, and training team in order to allow for adoption of product, as well as taking those learning and applying them back into all supporting teams in order to create services and training that was repeatable, as well as to affect product design and implementation that was sustainable and competitive. This equated to a 50/50 split between customer facing teams and product teams - this was global in scope.

As a member of VMware's Global Center of Excellence team, I have responsibility for bridging the gap between our Product Groups, Field Sellers, Customers, and Partners. Our team helps to ensure that we are solving customer problems by building the right technologies. It requires a view of the industry both from a business and technology perspective. Primarily we focus on solutions 12 months before they see the market to ensure that we have enabled the field to sell the product as well as had interlock with the Product group to ensure that the products/solutions will address customer and industry need in a timely fashion. Skills involved would include, C-level presentations and conversations, business planning, writing of product requirements documentation, as well as implementing early alpha code, both for demo's, and with customer design partners.

I am working in the area of Technical Sales. My focus in on Enterprise accounts, and specificially the Management technologies. Responsible for market penetration, and carry a quota to that end.
