In my first job, I worked as an assistant to the warehouse manager. Having a job with a good leader instilled me with many life lessons that I will carry on into my adult life. As far as work, I would work from 7:30 to 4:00 doing tasks around the ACE Fiber facility in Corinth, MS, these tasks included: loading trucks with electrical materials throughout the day, unloading transfer trucks, maintaining the tidiness of the warehouse, the offices, and the truck shop. The first week of working was tough with having to adjust to new people and learn a new schedule but living with it put me on a good school/work schedule. Recently, I have been employed as a beach attendant at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort since 2022-2024. I worked as a seasonal employee only working from the months of May to August. During this time, I was fully providing for myself. I learned a lot during this time but the one trait that stood out the most was money management. Being able to learn at a young age how to properly manage your money to survive will undoubtedly help me as I grow into an adult. At Mississippi State, I am planning to get my bachelor's degree in interdisciplinary studies with emphasis areas consisting of business, communication, and psychology. Having the opportunity to come out of college with a wide understanding of three areas that are used every day within customer service will help me thrive in a professional field. I believe that having a strong work ethic, a high sense of honor, and a deep sense of personal responsibility will help you succeed in not just college but life.
