1300+ Hours Responsibilities: • Blood Draws, IV Removals, Foley Removals, Simple Dressing Changes • Bathing /showering patients, cleaning up soiled patients and beds, walking patients in the room, to the bathroom, and in the hallway. • Re-positioning patients in bed, assisting them in and out of beds, bedside chairs, and wheelchairs, as well as on and off patient carriers (with assistance as needed). • Helping patients to walk with canes, walkers, and crutches. • Preparing patients for meals, feeding patients, filling water pitchers, restocking supplies, and preparing rooms for new admissions. • Transporting patients, by pushing them in wheelchairs or on carts, to and from tests and other units. • Assisting with post-life physical care. • Performing basic clinical skills such as weighing patients, taking blood pressures/pulses/respirations, emptying urine collection bags and measuring the urine, as well as emptying and measuring the fluid from drains. • Testing blood sugars by finger stick. • After advanced training, as a PCT I was able to perform several advanced skills such as drawing blood, performing EKGs (heart monitor tracings), changing simple wound dressings, removing bladder catheters, and removing IV catheters from veins.

Most recently, I was tasked with modernizing the information system by using the ArcGIS software to enter the Wye connection sheets into satellite data to be used by the road crew employees.
