Provided Software Qualiaty Assurance services to a variety of government and private customers:• National Nuclear Security Administration, Global Threat Reduction Initiative (GTRI) Program: Serves as Senior Software QA Officer for the G2 project. The G2 system integrates schedule, scope, budget, and change control management into a single web-based architecture to provide a comprehensive program management tool. The project team consists of two national labs and private sector companies. The G2 project was awarded the Project Management Institute Distinguished Project Award in 2010.• NNSA Office of Nonproliferation and International Security (NA-24) Program: Serves as Senior Software QA Officer for the SMART project. The project has similar objectives to the G2 tool and is also a government – private sector collaboration.• Los Alamos National Laboratory PADNWP Program: Prepared and participated in software assessments for weapons-related software. The assessments were designed to evaluate compliance with Department of Energy requirements.• Romulus Software, Oakton, VA: Provided Software Quality Assurance for new software products for Romulus Software. Responsibilities included developing test plans, executing verification and validation test procedures, reporting results, and supporting issue resolution prior to release to the customer.• Netster.com, Knoxville, TN: Analyzed requirements, created operational flow charts, and developed design elements for the functional system design needed to support her client’s patent application.• Software QA responsibilities include designing validation and integration strategies, providing data quality analysis, establishing requirements and acceptance criteria, creating test plans and procedures to assess functionality and usability, conducting validation and verification tests, and coordinating issue resolution with the development team.

Designed and developed prototype enterprise models to support sustainable operation of safeguards and security systems for the protection of nuclear material in the former Soviet Union countries using the Metis enterprise modeling tool.

Responsible for validation and verification of all Tradec software prior to release to customers. Managed a team of as many as six engineers.Key accomplishments inclued establishing an effective, efficient and scalable validation and verification program for this startup company, deeply integrating QA in the development process, only permitting an average of <1 unknown defects per release, maintaining excellent relationships with engineering team.

Supported projects in the Environmental Restoration and Waste Management (ERWM) Program involving transuranic, hazardous, and low-level wastes. Responsible for analyzing operational processes and waste information management at five DOE sites, defining the strategic vision and requirements to improve waste operations and reporting capabilities, and satisfying internal and government reporting requirements. Key accomplishments include enhancing communications between sites, eliminating duplication of efforts in operations and information management, providing a sound basis to define requirements for the next generation of information management tool for the program, correlating regulatory requirements with operations, and improving data quality.

Served on team responsible for a mission-critical computer system that collected regulatory data and monitored incinerator activity. Responsible for correlating waste data with regulatory requirements, operating permits, and internal requirements; analyzing long-term support system requirements and authoring a strategy document.
