I am a confident and accomplished senior manager, research and development expert in the field of design engineering automation using Knowledge Based Engineering techniques. A Chartered Engineer, experienced working at all levels including director, management, consultancy, R&D through to the implementation of knowledge solutions all within an international environment. I have over 27 years of Design Systems Engineering Automation and Knowledge Based Engineering experience.I have been fortunate to have worked for and with: BAE Systems, Rolls-Royce, Jaguar Land Rover, Corus, Morgan Motor Company, JCB and with international companies on various design automation projects in the US with Wisdom Systems. I have had exposure to wonderful teams of engineers across multiple disciplines.My main focus has been Knowledge Based Engineering (KBE):KBE represents a merging of object-oriented programming, artificial intelligence, and computer aided design. KBE systems aim to capture product and process information to allow businesses to model engineering processes, and then use the model to automate all or part of the process.The ultimate goal of a KBE system should be to capture, model and more importantly utilise the best design, business practices and engineering expertise into a corporate knowledge base. I have now taken early retirement but still welcome anyone wishing to collaborate, develop KBE / Design Engineering Automation initiatives.
