I am a physical scientist experienced in optical microscopy and image analysis for quantitative measurements at the nanoscale. I have advanced and applied these broadly applicable techniques to perform research in multiple fields, investigating a variety of microsystem and device technologies, including microelectromechanical systems (MEMS), polymeric devices, and living cells, as well as single molecules. My current research at NIST focuses on developing materials and methods for calibration of microscopy systems and their applications to nanotechnology and nanofabrication. I am interested in translational technologies and applied research to solve real-world problems.
