Professional Services Manager reporting to the General Manager, responsible for the planning and delivery of all Professional Services for VOIP. Assisted with professional services proposals, presented proposals & technical designs to customers, allocated resources to pre-sales & projects, staff development & training, revenue, expense budgeting, and was the technical interface to our vendors. My reporting responsibilities included services and project profitability, customer satisfaction and resourcing. The PS Engineering team was a National team which were in seven locations. This team provided services for project design & delivery, MACs, service desk break/fix as well as providing on call services in each location. In addition to the project services, the Engineering team were responsible for supporting several large Managed Service contracts. Management of the project office comprising of eight Project Managers led by a PM Manager that was loosely aligned with PMBOK. Reviewed the Project Office processes and project & financial delivery results and migrated the Project Office into a Prince2 aligned PMO. As a part of this change Project Accounting was implemented as a part of the Microsoft GP accounting project that enabled much better visibility and tracking of project costs, profitability and resource tracking.A major part of the role was the involvement in the sales process and so strategized with the sales and management teams on market changes, customer requirements as well as assisting with tender responses & delivering presentations to our customers. Reviewed all contracts for new sales as well as any renewals, which had to be aligned with back-to-back contracts.VOIP maintained a large sub-contractor base of over 75 contractors and was responsible for developing contract management and measurement processes and ensuring the compliance of these contractors with internal and contractual requirements.

Uplinx was a Cisco partner focusing on Unified Communications, Contact Centre, Data Centre and Wireless (including Meraki) built on borderless networks. Uplinx was only a Cisco Premier Partner when I started; the CEO had a goal of achieving Cisco Gold partnership within 12 months of me joining and asked me to lead this. (Cisco Gold is similar to the process to become ISO 9001 certified). This was achieved within 9 months and included the implementation of the new Service Desk software, CRM, SharePoint, documentation of existing and creation of all company policies and processes and the completion of the actual Gold Audit.

Arranged training for sales, pre-sales, delivery and support teams. Customers included QLD, NSW & VIC Health, Aged Care, Mining Companies, Universities.
