Vanuatu Aviation Investment Project – Bauerfield International Airport, January 2019 – Current ($57m USD)Resident Engineer, onsite construction management. Works were predominantly done at night due to the operational limitations of the airport. Scope of works involved shape corrections, asphalt overlay on all airside pavements and a complete overhaul of the existing AGL systems. Responsible for assessing the contractor’s work against the technical specifications and ICAO compliance, coordinating the works between airport operations and construction and site administration.Moranbah Airport – BHP Billiton Mitsubishi Alliance April –June 2018 ($10M)Craig was the Construction Superintendent for the Runway overlay works at Moranbah Airport. The works included a 100mm Asphalt overlay with a PMB AC14. Craig’s roles was to evaluate the contractors works methodology and accept or reject the plans based on his experience in airport asphalt construction. This required nightly inspections of the works and reviewing of the testing plans established by the contractor (Fulton Hogan). Craig inspected the installation and operations of the Asphalt testing batching plant and site labs as well as assessed ongoing testing of the overlay pavement.C-17 Maintenance Facility – Superintendent (approx. Construction cost - $250M) Oct 2015 to Oct 2018ACG was engaged as the Airside Engineering design consultant for the design and construction of 100,000m2 of high strength airfield parking apron and taxiway works (Rigid and Flexible types). Craig undertook the role of Construction Phase Superintendent and reviewed construction quality and conformance to the design specifications. This involved daily reviews of test results and site inspections to confirm construction quality met the contract requirements.
