Having worked on a variety of projects for a company who cater for Private/Expat Schools worldwide with their Engage School/Teaching/Accounts products. Initially taken on to create their new Analytics Dashboard, I have also added new functionality (plus maintained existing functionality) in their core Web, Web Services and Windows based products. The most recent project I have worked on which goes live soon is a total revamp of their Pupil Portal to a fully bootstrapped and responsive HTML5 web product which can be used on all devices from desktops to mobiles.Key achievements - Created the Analytics Dashboard. This included the MVC, Entity, Multi Database framework for the dashboard itself along with numerous customizable analytical dynamic widgets. Enabling schools to take a mountain-top view of vital group or school data, at a glance and also drill down into as much detail as they require. Also included creating a new licensing tool for digitally signed licenses. - Taken the existing non responsive Pupil Portal and turned it into a fully responsive bootstrapped HTML5 web application. All existing functionality has been converted into widgets. I have also added a custom mail control for pupils and integrated it with all existing systems and portals. - Maintained and created new modules for the core products (both Web and Windows based). - Enhanced existing functionality to improve speed and usability throughout their core products. - 3rd Line support for all existing products.

A rolling Consultant/Developer contract. Creating reporting suites, scripts, web interfaces, bespoke applications and facilitating the technical processes behind proposed Lean Methodology concepts helping to make them a reality. Additional responsibilities involve providing 3rd line support to the helpdesks, assisting with several rollouts and liaising with suppliers in order to securely integrate software with the Dealer Communication DCS and Dealer Management DMS systems.Key achievements - Created an in-house reporting suite for a legacy accounts forecasting system. Standardised over 1100 reports improving extract efficiency from hours to minutes and reducing load on the servers. Involved creating web services, a windows service application for scheduling/multithreading reports and an Intranet application for administrating all reporting parameters. - Developed a Web & SQL Server based Security Request application for the Autoline DMS making vast time savings and achieved new audit criteria. - Developed a user friendly, web savvy, AJAX enabled ASP.NET Dashboard and CMS system to centralize management, reporting, logging and control of all web services, authentication and a platform for present/future back-end applications. - Developed, implemented and documented several reporting tools and streamlined existing processes for head office departments. - Developed a tool to automate Urgent and Stock Orders uploads making a saving of 25 man days per month. This software was also installed in Austrian and Polish dealerships. - Developed a SOAP based web service and interface for BTC Solutions Ltd allowing integration with the Autoline DMS. This integration saves 50+ man days per month and its interfaces are now used by BTC for other car manufacturers worldwide. - Developed Customer Appointment Screen software for dealership service departments. - Helped facilitate the implementation of Lean concepts by creating required reports and applications.

Head-hunted for a position based at PSA Peugeot Citroen HQ. This role was primarily as an acting Technical Manager taking control of two delayed major rollouts (Citroen/Peugeot) with a combined budget of £12 million spanning over 2 years. Completed ahead of schedule, under budget with no major technical problems.Rollout Key achievements - Tested and identified all system build issues and worked in France with the development team to quickly resolve them. This helped significantly to get things back on schedule. - Advised PSA with network, software and hardware requirements. - Created templates and documented a number of Cisco builds. - Created all Technical, Helpdesk, Installation Engineer and User documentation. - Worked with DMS vendors to improve Cisco routing and natting requirements in order to facilitate their configuration by engineers, therefore simplifying the installation process. - Mentored, trained and supported all 16 Installation Consultants (8 teams).Other achievements - Created an IE Plugin enabling Peugeot/Citroen dealers to print AFRL documents to DVLA standards. - Developed a bespoke graphics application that crops, resamples and uploads images to dealership web sites avoiding the need for Photoshop licenses. - Provided 3rd line support to Dealers Systems Helpdesks and software suppliers.

Head-hunted to undertake a Team Leader role during several major rollouts.Key achievements - Created documentation, trained and supported Installation Engineers during a 2 year rollout for PSA Peugeot Citroen. - Developed a GUI interface that facilitated remote editing of HEX formatted license files. - Developed a Peugeot/Citroen AFRL print application that utilized the IBM Personal Communication API to print First Registration Documents. - Automated operating system and software installations. - Provided 3rd line support to the Helpdesks and software suppliers.

Initially a field based installer and then increasingly office based for development, scripting and build automation. Key achievements: - Installation Engineer for a Vauxhall rollout upgrading systems from DOS/Win 3.1 to Win 95/SCO Unix. - Installation Engineer for a Peugeot & Citroen rollout upgrading Token-Ring BNC networks to CAT-5. - Installation Engineer for a Peugeot & Citroen 2000 rollout upgrading systems to OS2 and Win 98. - Installation Engineer for a rollout installing file transfer software for Ford. - Automated operating system and software installations for various rollouts. - Developed a Classic ASP intranet document management system including all required technical documentation. - Developed an automated Cisco router configuration procedure avoiding visits to 600+ dealerships.
