Involved in a number of roles on a consultancy basis to Lateral Marketing, including wine events for Amex BIO. I liaised with potential sponsors for premium wine events, hosted and spoke at wine dinners as a wine specialist, talking guests through flights of premium Australian and imported wines, including Grange, Hill of Grace, Leeuwin Estate, and wines from Champagne, Italy and Bordeaux first growths. I was involved in introducing and hosting international guests including the Marchese di Frescobaldi and Jancis Robinson MW.

Manage rebranding of ULG’s winery direct marketing arm, from business operational strategy to full budget responsibility across Australia and New Zealand, improving speed to market, market share, and profitability. Wrote budgets, including P&L, Balance Sheet and Cashflow, for Wine First Australia and Wine First New Zealand; employed and managed BDMs in both markets; managed winery acquisition and retention; developed and piloted a new social media acquisition and marketing strategy to assist partner wineries to acquire new, qualified customers; won significant business from the main competitor, Woolworth’s-owned Langton’s Direct (formerly Cellar Force). Utilising proven market knowledge and acuity to lead budget and resource management, forecasting, and the execution of strategic and operational sales/marketing plans to maximise client retention in an industry with low barriers to entry and few lock-in contracts.

The Wine Guys was founded to provide direct to consumer marketing services for wineries in Australia. In January 2012 its focus was changed and narrowed.It now operates as a direct online marketing arm to James Halliday's Wine Companion subscribers.

Ran the Wine Ark Cellar Club business unit within the Wine iQ Group. Managed monthly and annual budgets, winery and distributor liaison, customer acquisition and multiple sales channels. I hosted the monthly Cellar Club tastings and wrote the weekly emails to the database.

Negotiated campaigns with wineries, particularly on pricing and stock availability; wrote campaign documents (pitches and tasting notes); managed winery relationships.
