To provide management of the Brookhurst Wood MBT operation to service the West Sussex County Council MRM Contract ensuring that both financial and non-financial performance targets are met through management and engagement of the operational teams. To manage operations on the Brookhurst Wood MBT plant. The position involves processing up to 312k tonnes per annum of the contract material and meeting the associated KPI’s of the contract and business.To ensure compliance with Health and Safety legislation on site to deliver process service requirements as per the MRM contract. Be responsible for organising team meetings and Weekly Hazard Tracker Meetings; and ensuring that the actions are closed out, including issues identified in audits and inspections or by other means are placed on the compliance system (CDB or IRS), and to monitor progress towards their resolution.To provide management and leadership support for the Operational Team.To ensure the effective allocation of resource such that tasks and operations are completed safely, on time and on budget.To drive and deliver programmes of Continuous Improvements to the overall efficient and effective running of the operation. Overseeing Biffa’s flagship Mechanical Biological Treatment facility in West Sussex. The removal of all metals and RDF from household waste to then be resold. Converting the remaining organic waste via anaerobic digestion into electricity then returning it to the National Grid. I currently lead a team of Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, Multi Skilled and Production Operators, SCADA Operators and Lab Technicians to ensure all production levels are successfully met daily, along with any preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
