In my role as a Catering Assistant, I have various responsibilities related to the demands of catering within a hospital.I was trained in the majority of catering departments across Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, more so than any other catering assistant. It required that I be adaptable to the many different approaches to various tasks across those departments.

In my role I was required to escort pupils and communicate with teachers after shop closure to maintain lesson schedules. It was also my responsibility to do final checks after lessons where concluded, enable the alarms and lock up the building.

As a stockroom assistant I had to take deliveries, organise and regulate stock while also maintaining high standards of cleanliness and order in the stockroom. I often would take on the responsibilities of the supervisor in their absence, including tasks such as: organising and distributing deliveries received to their respective departments, delegating.
