I worked for one of the UK’s leading supermarket and ensured their brand standards were embedded into everyday working practices. I delivered groceries to customer homes which included transferring their groceries according to their requirements, unpacking and advising of substitutions prior to ensuring the customer was fully satisfied.I was responsible for reviewing and understanding the scheduled route for the day and working within a team to ensure all the groceries were loaded correctly loaded in the van. I was also required to complete checks on the delivery van including washer fluids, oil checks and tyre pressure on a weekly basis ensuring the van is roadworthy. As part of safe delivery, I understood any potential hazards or obstructions at a customer’s address, parked the vehicle safely and adhered to strict health and safety regulations. Due to relocation a few times I worked from the Glasgow, Falkirk and Cumbernauld stores.

I also met strict store targets which required a waiting time of less than 40 minutes from ordering to delivery. I always encouraged a culture of continuous improvement within the store.I ensured labour was never more than 12% and that company processes, and strict food and hygiene regulations were embedded into everyday working practices. I dealt with the store’s cash flow with both card and cash payments, cashed up at the end of each shift, investigated any discrepancies and recorded all activities accurately.
