Hi, I’m Craig :) I’m passionate about contributing to the building of kinder and more inclusive communities. I design playful, accessible, futurist teaching ideas to reach all learners. I love living a creative, philosophically rich and healthy life with my wife, daughter and son in Newcastle, Australia.I am an autism and neurodiverse education specialist, currently working as Manager of Technology and Innovation for Positive Partnerships, part of Autism Spectrum Australia. My experience is informed by years in the classroom as well as time spent with experts from around the world in the field of inclusive and neurodiversity-affirming educational practices: on invitation, I have run masterclasses for the United Nations in Shanghai, for ministries in the United Arab Emirates and Singapore, as well as teaching and speaking tours of South Africa, New Zealand and Australia. I am a consultant to Apple for accessibility practice and a lecturer at Notre Dame University.Content I have authored on inclusion over the years has been shared and used globally for over a decade across educational settings and has contributed to government policy discussions and pedagogy adaptation. I recently presented my work on AI and executive functioning at a TEDx event, and a co-authored research piece was recently published in a textbook by Routledge, focused on the emerging field of augmented reality and social inclusion.Outside of education, I am a pipe organist and composer of electroacoustic music that is released by the Bathurst record label in Germany, and I am a published poet, shortlisted for the 2023 Newcastle Poetry Prize. I have written broadly on philosophy of mind and psychogeography, with a current focus on memory, parenting and time. I am always eager to connect with passionate individuals who similarly want to keep kind and innovative ideas alive, experimental and in the service of creating better futures for all.
