My career began with an entry level position in 1980 followed by expanding roles as Manager Gas Acquisition and Regulatory Affairs, VP Sales and Marketing, SVP of Marketing and Gas Management, followed by ten years as EVP and Chief Operating Officer. I am a firm believer that leadership requires open and honest communication with employees and stakeholders and that the success of the organization is due to the collective performance of all employees. During my tenure I have had the opportunity to work with all levels of regulation and oversite including the Mayor of Philadelphia, PGW's Board of Directors, Philadelphia City Council, Philadelphia Gas Commission and the Pennsylvania PUC. On numerous occasions I have presented to Rating Agency analysts for annual and semi annual reviews. Additionally, I have been a member of the National Petroleum Council for the past decade, a Director for the American Gas Association, American Public Gas Association and have chaired both the Energy Association of Pennsylvania and Northeast Gas Association. I am on the Board of Directors for Jefferson Health and also served many years on the Board of the Delaware Valley Citizens Crime Commission.
