Prior to re-joining the Lincoln Partners, Craig served as Senior Wealth Adviser for the Private Bank, the exclusive high net worth division of Union Bank. In this role, Craig advised clients regarding their wide-ranging financial needs and investment strategies. As an attorney and registered investment adviser, he brought significant expertise in the investment, estate planning and business succession arenas. Before Union Bank, Craig was president of Vanguard University Foundation, where he managed all aspects of fund development. He began his law career over 30 years ago as a sole practitioner and general counsel to C&I Properties, a commercial real estate firm. Later he joined United Western Medical Centers where he served as CFO to its foundation responsible for assisting families with their estate and charitable financial plans. He also provided consultative financial and estate planning representation at Mass Mutual Financial Services, serving as president of the Family Business Partners, CA operation. Craig has upgraded his historical role as outside legal counsel to High Trust's in-house General Counsel and Divisional President. Appointed in 2012, Craig served for three terms as the Chairman of the Board for the Foothill Eastern Corridor of the Transportation Corridor Agency. This $10 Billion agency with combined revenues of $340 Million per year is responsible for building and operating California's largest network of Toll Roads including the 241, 261, 133 and 73. As Chairman of the Foothill Eastern Transportation Corridor Agency, under Craig's leadership the Agency successfully negotiated a monumental and unprecedented settlement agreement with 12 national environmental organizations that ended a decade-long multi million dollar legal battle now clearing the way for a multi billion dollar highway project that will relieve traffic on one of the most highly traveled corridors in the U.S., the Interstate 5 Freeway.

Elected to City Council November 2012 immediately being asked to serve as Mayor Pro Tem. Voted in as Mayor in December of 2013 by council majority. Rotated to council position December 2014.Young has a passion for good governance and been an active policy advocate for many years. As Mayor, he fought to protect residents’ quality of life, make government operate more efficiently, and increased government transparency. With extensive financial acumen, Young has assured the City operates financially within its means, both from a cash flow perspective and in regard to funding long-term liabilities. Possessing a keen interest in mobility, Young has pursued involvement and advocacy with several regional transportation agencies.

Managed the overall operations of the foundation and oversaw all fund development activities. Simultaneously Craig served as an adjunct professor in the School of Business.
