I am a geologist/geochemist with expertise in a range of analytical techniques, including: petrography (optical and reflected light), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and a wide range of stable isotope techniques and applications. While initially focused upon inorganic materials, my career has taken me into the realm of organic geochemistry (e.g. Gas Chromatography, Mass Spectrometry, etc) to understand the history and relationship between production fluid samples and/or extracted fluids (core/cuttings).I have worked in both academia and industry and between 2011-2015 was a 'Product Specialist' (UK Office) then 'Product Manager' (USA Office) for one of the worlds largest scientific instrument manufacturers, elementar. During this time I provided technical expertise to the companies distributors and visited clients across the globe. Throughout my career I have worked on a range of mineralogical, geological & environmental research projects, collaborated with colleagues globally and since 2007 published 40+ research articles on a range of topics in a variety of international journals, bulletins and magazines. Across my career I have worked both in technical and business development roles and been trained in both technical sales & marketing. I am currently based in Helensburgh, Scotland where I coordinate group operations for Applied Petroleum Technology, based out of Oslo, Norway but with divisions across the globe.
