youtube.com/bbqitBBQ iT is a brand and channel I launched on YouTube in 2018. It's an "All Things BBQ/Grilling/Smoking" for the outdoor cooking enthusiast. Covid caused a pause of production, but the fall of 2023 will see the steadfast return of BBQ iT. While approaching 30k subscribers, and millions of views on multiple platforms, the show has grown a loyal fanbase. I served for 4 years on NEBS board (North East Barbecue Society) and I'm a KCBS (Kansas City Barbecue Society) Certified BBQ Judge. BBQ iT also launched a competition BBQ team called GRAND SMOKE RAILROAD in 2019.

As the Video Production Manager at Photo Butler, a software and hardware solution for creating branded photo content for multiple platforms, I produced marketing videos and tools to introduce emerging software products to new clients using Photoshop, Premiere, Motion Graphics. I had to create the vision of what our products would look like and function in real-time on location, whether a cruise ship or a professional sports venue. Our clients included Nasdaq Data Link, Oracle, PGA, Ryder Cup, Disney Cruises, New England Patriot, and the Red Sox.

For over 6 seasons I was able to travel the world, sample amazing food, and create dozens of episodes of Trev Gowdy's Monster Fish for the Outdoor Channel. As a producing DP and Director, I was the only crew on 99% of my episodes. This was an great challenge that I was up every time. I learned how to manage multi-cameras, gopros, the drone, and the audio for every situation, all while at sea, or on a boat somewhere. The trip would be booked, then when me and the host Fred Lavitman hit the ground, it was go-time. I had to get us from point A to B, prep all gear, prep Fred, and get ready to roll. This was an awesome job! How2Heroes.com is an innovative food-based website out of Sommerville, Massachusetts owned and run by Lynne Viera of Rival Digital Marketing. I was hired and moved from Virginia back to Massachusetts to manage the video production department and crew. We made very detailed-oriented instructional cooking videos for online, and for free. This work flow and style of content wasn't so much driven for style or entertainment, as it was for clean, correct, and proven recipes.Along with How2Heroes.com, I was the content creator for Rival Digital Marketing. I created web based content for our clients, spanning from social media marketing campaigns to commercials and original apps.

This was an amazing place to work and create. I was hired to start the school's first ever online video presence for students and the school at large. This was from scratch, just like the HamptonRoads.tv job, so I was in charge of ordering all gear, equipment, and eventually adding staff. Once established, we created a massive amount of video content, showing the world who the school was and what it stood for. All while giving the students a new platform to share their community-driven missions to help everyone in need. From the unique student-life activities that EVMS alone started, to the amazing stories of the thousands of people they help out yearly. I truly loved my time and there, and the staff I was a part of. The department has continued to grow and flourish since I moved back to Massachusetts.

I was hired to create the first newspaper owned and operated video website in 2005. It was called HamptonRoads.tv. I created 3 to 5 videos a week for 4 years, and it was a blast. The Virginian Pilot was up for sale, and they cut this side of the company completely off and sent me to the newsy side to teach them how to make videos. You know how it goes!! I had an amazing crew, and we created a thousand plus videos. Great times, and we were the first to do it.
