With 20 years of experience in the energy industry, I have been responsible for developing and managing partnerships and investments as well as provided interim executive leadership, sales management, and consulting services focused on business development, growth and profit strategies, and capital raises. In my role with ERA, I help clients identify and deliver cash, usually between ½ to 1% of sales, back to into their business.

Developed business plan for Gas to Liquids plant and fertilizer plant and structured project for Capital Raise including; Secure and negotiate financable supply and off take agreements. Developed EPC contract, managed Electric interconnect negotiation with PJM and connection to interstate gas pipelines. Hire and direct engineers, accountants, financial analysts, and attorneys. Manage and develop due diligence material including proformas, engineering, licenses, property, supply and off take contracts, utility contracts.

Business/Project Development; Identified and evaluated potential projects based on likelihood of success and fit with corporate business models. Developed business plans for Coal to Liquids plant, Ethanol Plants, Bio-diesel plants, secured property determined resources needed to develop viable projects. Hire and direct engineers, accountants, financial analysts, and attorneys. Secure and negotiate supply and off take agreements on terms acceptable to Debt and Equity Financers. Negotiate Purchase Sale Agreements (PSAs) and Investment Agreements with equity investors. Manage and develop due diligence material including proformas, engineering, licenses, property, supply and off take contracts, utility contracts, etc.Sold development stage ethanol plant to private equity firm. Led negotiations and managed due diligence.

Identified new projects, potential acquisitions, power production, and service opportunities that leveraged corporate assets and competencies. Evaluated potential projects based on likelihood of success and fit with new business growth strategy. Determined resources needed to develop viable projects. Coordinated selected projects by leading team of engineers, attorneys, and others in analysis or due diligence of projects.

Managed public / private partnership with the Orlando Utility Commission to provide district cooling services to Orlando, FL. Charged with significantly growing business while insuring its long-term viability and profit margins. Responsible for developing business plan and construction budgets and brought in projects at or under budget. Also managed operations budget. Supervised proforma preparation and analysis. Implemented and managed accounting, sales, marketing, operations, and construction functions. Negotiated property leases and district energy purchase agreements (similar to 20-year power purchase agreements). Collected, interpreted, and presented development, construction, and operations data to Board of Directors. Developed strategic plans for growth, operations, and acquisitions; presented plans to Board for approval and implemented plans.Acquired three cooling plants and merged them into OUCooling operations.
