Operating, collecting, servicing and generating substantial revenues for large scale supply contracts through 12 UK distribution depots across the UK with high profile pub chains. These include; JD Weatherspoon’s, M&B, Greene King, Stonegate/Ei Group, Whitbread PLC & Marston’s PLC amongst many others regional operators. Annual T/O of C£30+M employing C700 personnel.

Warwickshire

Whilst taking time out and seeking a new challenging role, I undertook some interim & project roles self employed then latterly an employed business development role at Greene King Pub Partners. In late 2012 I took a project role for North East Lincolnshire Council following its completion, I continued to undertake other leisure projects generated from within my own network. After finishing a 9 month assignment for Park Resorts as they merged with Parkdean, I took up a full-time role with Greene King at the introduction of the new Pub Code and their acquisition of the Spirit pub group.

National

Managed the operational functions for a large, privately owned business. During my tenure I was responsible for the flagship resort functions including Brighton Pier, Coral Island Blackpool, 5 nightclubs, a 10-pin bowling operation in the Northeast and five high-volume bingo businesses with a combined turnover of circa £35M made up of Food, Beverage, Gaming, attractions and Retail lines.

National

Managed the service activities under a facility management contracts with public sector partners in 95 sports and recreational facilities in the UK. The group was private equity-funded with income of circa £80M from sales driven monthly fitness subscriptions and public funding. The company worked with prominent public-sector clients including the National Sports Centres for Sport England. I led a team consisting of four Regional Directors, health & safety, sales management, human resources, technical services and cascading to over 4,000 operational staff.

Directed one of the largest privately-owned leisure businesses in the UK. The operations included multiplex cinemas, late night venues, bingo halls and health/fitness management contracts. I left the company in 1998 to join Apollo leisure having tried to complete a management buy-out of the business as part of the senior management team leading the bid.
