As part of the creation of Telstra Purple, I was included in this new structure with my current roles and responsibilities leveraging my extensive Consulting Services experience in all areas across large corporate environments to the team and continue to expand on these responsibilities with high profile projects. I am recognised for leadership in driving large complex transformations across varied industries, consistently delivering to customer expectations. I have led globally recognised projects such as the Sydney ICC and Entertainment Centre redevelopment, Sydney Cricket Ground network expansion and HD Wifi solution, and the new Perth Stadium which required overcoming difficulties and solving problems in challenging environments with a consultative approach. My experience extends to working in global teams supporting international data centres and business locations, and managing an international team of four to deliver a global project. My focus is to provide leadership of SME engineers in design and installation of projects, and work with internal and external clients to help them understand these designs and ensure a wholistic solution is achieved to benefit the end customer requirements. I am able to bridge the conversation between the IT specialists and the business to deliver the right result. After Telstra acquired O2 Networks, I continued to contract to Telstra for 12 months before joining the team full time in June 2015. As a Director of Advanced Networks P/L, I have responsibilities within the business to ensure its future viability, integrity and reputation, and satisfaction of current clients. I have experience in working with a wide range of networking technologies and systems and use this knowledge in implementing infrastructure and networking into my clients businesses successfully and with minimal business disruption. This is key to clients and their businesses. I have been in the role of Senior Network Consultant in O2 Networks for the past 3 years predominantly working on the Telstra Media Shared Hosting (MSH) platform. The MSH platform is Telstra’s first highly scalable multi-tiered environment designed to support multiple tenants in a virtualized environment. The project required expert involvement to design, build, test and provide operational handover of leading edge technologies that in some cases were first deployments of their type in Australia. The MSH environment utilizes a number of leading edge technologies from Cisco (Nexus 7000, 5000, 2000 and 1000v, as well as the 3000 series Cisco for HP blade chassis), Juniper (SRX 5800, 3600, 650 and 240 series) and F5 (Viprion). This complex design currently hosts many of Telstra's flagship Media products available to the public and requires high level expertise to on-board new products and maintain current ones through Firewall administration and F5 iRule and Virtual Server designs.This initial six month project was delivered on time and in budget, and I remained as a senior part of the O2 Networks team for Telstra who continued to provide architectural oversight and product activation into this environment for 2 years.
