In my current role as a Cinema Manager, I oversee multiple areas of a high complexity cinema such as Marketing, HR, Health & Safety, Audit Compliance and Retail as well as remaining operationally focussed of the day-to-day running of the cinema at all times. I lead monthly stock counts & investigate variances and P&L on Retail whilst also spearheading various local marketing schemes and creating partnerships with local businesses. As the line Manager of not only Team Members but Team Leaders, I also hold regular one-to-one and development meetings to ensure everyone is performing at the absolute best of their ability.

My previous employments have all helped me prepare for my role as a Team Leader in one of Wales’ busiest cinemas. With a team of over 70 people, I am always prepared should shifts not always go to plan! My love of film and the cinema industry always makes me strive to provide the best working environment for my staff and employees. This role also requires me to recruit new other employees, open new cinemas all over the country as part of a commissioning team and daily Cash Handling for the entire building. As a Keyholder, I am also expected to run shifts as a Duty Manager.

As a Cast Member at the Disney Store, it is vital to work to an exceptionally high standard at all times. The majority of my shifts would start as early as 5am in order to process deliveries, after which I would serve on the cash desk and greet guests, helping them in any way I could. The store would frequently reach maximum capacity so it was important to ensure the guests every need was achieved.

As a Sales Assistant, I was required to ensure the customers needs were met at all times. This would range from approaching customers on the shop floor and assisting them however I could, to serving on the till points and upselling additional products such as console cover on certain items.

As a Supervisor, my main responsibilities was to assist with the day-to-day running of a busy bowling complex. This included completing accurate safe counts up to three times a day and investigating any variances, making till floats appropriate to the shift and overseeing staff on departments and assigning tasks as well as assisting the manager with their tasks. I also acted as Duty Manager on shift's where it was required.

I quickly became fully trained in all departments (Reception, Bar & Kitchen) whilst I was a Team Member at Bowlplex. I would regularly volunteer to work in other centers in England and Wales when they required cover and to gain further experience working in unfamiliar territory which I relished.

Whilst working at Primark’s Cwmbran store, I was trained for all areas and departments of the store and regularly completed overtime. My main department was Customer Services, where I was expected to speak to customers in a pleasant and understanding manner to help with any issues they may have.
