As an umpire, I work with kids and interact with managers and coaching staff. I am involved with the umpiring staff that officiate PSI held indoor hockey leagues and provincial tournaments.

I worked on the fabrication of HDPE workboats used in offshore maintenance operations. We took the boats from the design through to manufacturing and testing. I worked on the workshop floor welding HDPE and installing the electrical harnesses for the boats. We tested the boats seaworthiness through sea trials in Houtbay Harbour and made modifications to the hulls to improve the boats handling in the water.

I was part of a team of students that were involved in the initial stages of developing an educational manufacturing cell. The robots were aimed to help aid students learning at the University of Cape Town.

I completed my practical training at Petrel where I learned valuable lessons regarding manufacturing consisting of welding, turning and fitting.
