About Teresa Crawford

I help leaders, teams and organizations connect with their purpose and align the policies, processes and programs to achieve impact which changes lives and communities. I am passionate about harnessing the power of citizens, government and business to transform systems, solve problems, advance development and address community challenges in an equitable way. During my career I have been privileged to work with 100s of leaders, foundations & non-profit organizations in the United States and around the world on issues ranging from health equity to violence against women in war to citizen engagement in oversight and accountability of security forces. One of the accomplishments I am most proud of is the start up and successful launch of IPKO in 1999 - the first post war Internet Service Provider - in Kosovo and the founding of IPKO Foundation - the first locally endowed foundation in the Balkans - which was founded with proceeds from the sale of shares in IPKO. My experience with IPKO highlights all my skills and expertise: building successful teams, developing financial models to support social change, problem solving, working collaboratively with CSOs, government, military forces and international organizations, seizing opportunities to put technology to work for development and improving services for citizens.Multi-faceted professional with over 20 years of experience living, studying and working both in the United States and over 50 countries (Europe, Sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America). Strengths in facilitation, systems thinking, human centered design, strategy and business development in the nonprofit sector, program design and implementation as well as resource mobilization and strategic partnership building.
