As a Nationally Certified, Licensed Acupuncturist & Herbal Medicine Practitioner, I have worked with people from all walks of life, at all stages of their lives (both youth and adults) and truly love what I do as a Health Care Practitioner. I am also trained as a Shiatsu Massage Practitioner, Certified in Acupressure Therapy & basic Tui Na Medical Massage. My clinical experience began in a community-based Chinese Medical Clinic, working with primarily under-served, high-need families and individuals, treating everything from the common cold to dual-diagnosis patients (i.e. those with multiple conditions). My focus at the time was working with chronic immune diseases and pain management issues compounded with psycho-emotional conditions. By contrast, through the guidance of Dr. Lai Fu Cai, Ph.D., M.D., L.Ac., I apprenticed several years gaining additional clinical acupuncture and herbal medicine training in her clinic, Kang Fu Acupuncture & Herbal Center (S.F., CA.). In this setting, I worked predominantly with Corporate Executives and Professionals, with a focus on Fertility, Pregnancy Health, Repetitive Stress Injuries, Anxiety & Depression along with Chronic and Severe Illnesses & Pain Management. Seeking ways to better address physical illnesses compounded by emotional trauma, I become a Certified Detoxification Specialist through the Lincoln Medical & Mental Health Center (South Bronx, N.Y.).As a per diem Staff Acupuncturist at Mt. Sinai-Beth Israel Medical Center (New York, N.Y.), I worked as part of an integrative medicine team to provide in-patient treatment in various hospital departments (i.e. surgery, cardiology, oncology, pediatrics, family medicine, hospice, etc.).Currently, in my private practice clinic Seven Point Wellness, I oversee Women's, Maternal and Pediatric/Adolescent Health Services - including Labor and Delivery Doula support services. I also work with Chronic Illness, Immunocompromised, and Oncology patients - and provide palliative Hospice care to both adults and children.Specialties: Aside from Health Care, I have long worked as an Independent Consultant, Executive Director & Public Policy-Advocate with non-profits, governments, businesses, health & educational institutions & Foundations. My Doctoral work at Stanford University, focused on human rights, social movements & indigenous communities. While my experience varies widely, it has always focused on the health & wellness of children, families & communities.
