All devices, one platform.As Director of Development for Corporate Products, I am responsible for delivering high quality software products that meet and exceed customer expectations. I am responsible for improving design and development process - following through with execution and delivery.Computrace utilizes a server platform, client technology, database, and supporting web apps and services. Our primary business model is Software as a Service - where Absolute hosts the data centers. However, we also provide the solution as a self-hosted model where business rules prohibit SaaS.

With 3 direct reports, and leading teams from 4 – 20 people per project producing a COTS product that retails in excess of $200k. > Manage a team of developers and QA resources (3 direct reports, various additional resources per project)> ScrumMaster Certification (ScrumAlliance) > Proven track record of assisting Sales Teams to secure major contracts by providing Subject Matter Expertise at off-site meetings and by building excellent customer relationships> Develop the Computrace Enterprise product road map> Define project/release scope> Release and iteration (sprint) planning and project management execution (full SDLC integrating Scrum)> Lead the Software and System Design process, and provide final approval> Negotiate contracts for 3rd party components > Provide Customer Care and Troubleshooting for high-value customers

Responsible for managing and technical leadership of department-wide projects > Scalability Project – lead the software and database project to convert vertical bound hardware implementation to a horizontal model. Despite on-going feature development, work with each app team to analyze, plan, and execute the required changes to meet the new architecture.> Unicode Conversion Project – lead the software and database project to convert single byte character data to multi-byte facilitating Unicode data transmission and storage. High priority business requirement due to international expansion.> UTC Project – lead the software and database project to introduce UTC date/time fields into the application code and data models; whilst maintaining local time for legacy/ local applications.

Responsible for managing and technical leadership of projects involving Marriott.com and Marriott Rewards.> Technical Project Management of key enhancements to the Marriott Rewards loyalty program; including reviewing Business requirements, writing Technical Requirements, estimating, writing Technical Specs, writing Use Cases, writing Test Cases, and managing execution to time and budget> Collaborate with Global project teams> Provide 24 hour production systems support> Act as a key contributor to the massive department-wide Marriott.com platform conversion project from MS ASP / SQL Server to IBM J2EE / DB2; introducing SOA and a Content Management SystemNote: Transitioned skill set from Microsoft technologies to J2EE environment> Create a high speed and ultra stable service that calculates appropriate Marriott Stay Reward requirements for a list of reservations – including the complex algorithms required when special offers are in playNote: This is still in use by Marriott.com as of 2010> Performance tune applicationsNote: One example resulted in reducing mainframe processing costs from thousands of dollars per day to $300 per dayNote: Another example resulted in a 300% saving in resource load, enabling a substantial increase in revenue generating traffic> Technical Team Leadership on various initiative projects in the Specials and Offers, Incentive Sales, and Gift Certificates areas> Rewrite and own the technical implementation of the Marriott.com Gift Certificate website - the site consisting of brochure-ware, time-bound special offers, a shopping cart and order processing components
