Pantry Manager-Spring City
CurrentI volunteer as a manager of a food pantry in Spring City located in northern Chester County. On average 80 families totaling over 250 people are given needed supplemental food on a weekly basis. Through the support of our community organizations, churches and schools we are able to provide nutritious variety to our clients. We are partnered with the Chester County Food Bank to provide governmental food commodities to our clients through grants from the Department of Agriculture. Spring-Ford Project Outreach is a non-profit community organization that provides support to reduce food insecurity. Other services such as furniture acquisition, utility bill assistance, fuel oil and propane gas assistance, short term rentals for the homeless and gifts to children during the winter holiday season are offered to the community.
