From April- July of both 2010 and 2011, facilitated learning experiences for over 50 incoming TFA corps members at Madison High School during TFA’s Summer Institute Training.-Served as the corps members’ primary trainer by introducing them to the Teaching As Leadership and diversity frameworks, enabling them plan a classroom framed upon a Culture of Achievement and Rigor.-Presented and facilitated core curriculum and differentiated sessions, as well as offered differentiated support and coaching to the school team.

US History District Course Leader-led the collaborative process with 4 teachers, district-wide in the course-planned, developed and implemented workshops to improve teacher’s content knowledge and pedagogy-facilitated content team meetings and led analysis of assessment data and student performance data to improve the quality and score of instruction

Full-time, lead teacher at Yes Prep North Central, one of eight YES Prep high-performing public charter schools, aiming toward serving 10,000 low-income students and tripling the number of Houston students going to college. -Over 90% of 11th grade US History students scored at or above Commended Performance on the state level exam.-12th Grade Level Chair (2010-2011) managed 6 grade level instructors and 55 students to ensure effective communication among parents, students, and teachers-lead weekly team meetings that address student concerns, parent communication, and upcoming field lessons.

Served as a member of a national service corps of outstanding recent college graduates of all academic majors who commit two years to teach in low-income, urban and rural public schools.-Achieved significant academic gains, with 2nd grade students growing 2.2 years in Reading and 2.4 years in Math.-Transition Team Leader- assisting incoming corps members in assimilation to corps.-Program Advisory Committee- analyzing the functions of professional development opportunities for corps members.-Growth and Strategy Committee- assisting potential corps members in the matriculation process.
