Experienced actuary and insurance professional with over 30 years experience. Having spent 15 years working for one of the leading actuarial consulting firms in the world, she is since january 2012, working with her own Consultant company, called Cantanhede Mano Consultoria em Atuária (www.cmanoatuaria.com).Member of the audit committee of Icatu Seguros, since July 2022.Member of ASTIN Board, since June 2023.She was an Associate Professor at UERJ for 27 years at the Actuarial and Statistics Department. Cristina Mano was a Partner and Senior Consultant at Towers Watson from 1996 to 2011 working in the Risk & Finances Services practice, in the areas of Appraisal , Financial Analysis, Reserves Analysis and Predictive Modeling. She started her career working as an Actuary at SulAmerica Seguros. She was Director of The Institute of Brazilian Actuaries (IBA).She has worked at Fundação Oswaldo Cruz developing statistical analysis at epidemiological researches. She also worked at Center of Insurance at Coppead-UFRJ developing actuarial studies. She is member of the Institute of Brazilian Actuaries (IBA), Affiliate of the Casualty Actuarial Society, Felow of the Conference of Consulting Actuaries, Member of the International Actuarial Association (IAA) and its sections: International Association of Consulting Actuaries and ASTIN (Actuarial Studies in Non Life Insurance). She attended a Board Member Course (Conselheiro de Administração) at IBGC, in March, 2023. Cristina is a frequent speaker at insurance related meetings throughout Brazil and abroad. She is graduated in Actuarial Sciences, Statisticis and Mathematics with MBA in Artificial Intelligence &Neural Networks, MSc in Statistician and DSc degree in Production Engineering. Specialties: She is specialist in Reserves Review, Actuarial Evaluations, Liability Adequacy Test and Pricing, with particular expertise in Generalised Linear Modeling and Data Science Methodologies. Worked with a large Brazilian insurance group in the implementation of a new risk department. She has experience in due diligence projects and in the analysis of the balance sheet of insurance and reinsurance companies.She also works in preparing business plan for new players of the insurance market. Cristina co-wrote the book “Accounting and Actuarial Aspects of the Technical Provisions" edited by Funenseg, in 2009 and it was revised and republished at 2018.She also have her DsC thesis “Melhoria da qualidade na tarifação de seguros - uso de modelos de credibilidade” published by Funenseg.
