She graduated from TMCC High School, received her AA degree at TMCC, and carries numerous certifications and degrees in Graphic Design, Communications, Digital Media, Arts, and Marketing. Courtney is the CEO, Senior Design Strategist, and Creative Director of Design on the Edge, a boutique family-owned design firm and agency co-founded with her husband. Over the past 25 years of her career, she has received 100+ local, regional, and national awards for her service to the community. In 2013 she co-wrote and published the first pictorial manuscript on the history of the Reno Riverwalk District. In 2022 she was voted Marketer of the Year by the American Marketing Association. She is involved in the Downtown Reno Partnership, TEDxReno, Reno Riverwalk District, and the Nevada Society of Scottish Clans. She is a member of NCET, AIGA, NAACP, and the Sons and Daughters of Erin. She has also been involved with the American Business Women’s Association Reno Chapter and the American Advertising Federation of Northern Nevada. She has been honored with many community awards, including the Top 150 Individuals of Influence by the City of Reno, Creative Advocate of the Year from the Nevada Center of Entrepreneurship and Technology, Public Relations Specialist of the Year, Advertising Person of the Year by the AAF, Most innovative company in northern Nevada, a top small family-owned business by Nevada Business Magazine, Irish Person of the Year and recipient of the 2022 Silver Thistle Award by NVSSC.
